To ensure proper installation and safety, it is recommended to exclusively use WAC Ceiling Fan Downrods with WAC Ceiling Fans. Our downrods are specifically designed to be compatible with WAC fans only, using them with any other brand may result in damage or injury. The WAC downrods have a 3/4 inch outer diameter and are ideal for increasing the height of your WAC ceiling fan.
Various lengths of downrods are available, including 12in, 18in, 24in, 36in, 48in, 60in, and 72in, in different finishes to complement your fan. It is important to note that these downrods are not suitable for use with "Hugger" or "Flush Mount" ceiling fans.
For installations requiring lengths greater than 72in, downrods can be connected together using a downrod coupler (DC-xx). All WAC downrods feature a single threaded end on the motor side and can be easily shortened in the field by cutting the un-threaded side. For example, if you need a 10in downrod, you can purchase a 12in and adjust the length by 2in to suit your specific needs.
